Halex does not make thier boards up to the standards as other boards. For the price they charge they should really make them better. I bought a boards, and after a few months the landing pads are broken. Halex just said o well. I babyed this dartboard, and to have this happen no it not right. The dartboards I use out at resturants hold up I throw hard onto thier plastic boards, but Halex onyl wants a quick buck. BUYER BEWARE PRODUCT IS NOT MADE WELL NOTHING BY HALEX IS EXCELLENT AS EXPERIENCE HAS TAUGHT.

I realize that this is not a top-of-the-line item, but is it too much to question that all of the holes attaching the doors and hinges not be stripped? It takes awhile to find all of those tiny screws when they’re rolling around the box. Also, could just one of the pre-drilled holes be positioned correctly? Just one, please?
As may be read in some of the other reviews, the darts are laughable. If the buyer is willing to do a small bit of repair work while putting it together; doing the work that a manufacturer generally does with even the most economical of merchandise, and the cabinet is not going to be the focal point of your rumpus room, knock yourself out.

Just trying to get back into darts after a long haitus. I was searching for an attractive dartboard cabinet for our rec room. This one does exactly what I want…it’s a excellent quality dartboard in an excellent looking, well-made cabinet all for a very decent price. I had it within a week of ordering and it came in fantastic condition. I would buy it again without hesitation.

I bought this dartboard/cabinet for my apartment for added entertainment. The product was shipped to me in the original box with no additional packaging. The corners of the box were completely ripped off, and the doors have cracks running vertically through them from the top to the bottom. I’m bone idle, and since you can’t see them while the board is hanging, I didn’t bother to return it. The darts are fine for what I use it for, and the board seems fine too, except that a lot of darts fall out (not bounce off, although the wires are held on with staples, so a lot of darts bounce off too) of the area in an around the bullseye. I reckon this is because the screw you add to the back of the board to hang it causes the bristles inside to become more compact, requiring a more forceful throw to get the dart deep enough to stay in. Throws farther away from the bullseye stay in the board with no problems.
Overall, the set works fine. But if you are using it for anything more than occasional recreational use, I’d recommend spending more on a nicer set.

Fantastic board, Excellent Cabinet, OK Darts

If you are looking for a cost effective dart option for your game room the Halex board is a nice one. The board itself is probaly only below the Winmau Blade III of the ones I’ve played on. The cabinet that comes with this set looks fine and seems to hold up well. The dry erase scoreboards are a nice touch. If you have better darts use them (We do) with this set. The darts that come with the set are just basic cheap darts and you’re probably not going to be impressed by those. Over-all though for the money we like the set and it looks excellent in the game room.

This product shipped without the necessary parts to place up the board. I ordered it about a month ago and still have no received the parts. I also was lead to believe that darts would be with the order, but they were not as well.

This didn’t even come with English instructions so I had to try my best and look up on the Internet how to hang it up and ALL the darts broke within 48 hours! Had to buy more darts to even play! It’s a excellent “dartboard”, though. Everything else was crap.

I bought this item for my boyfriend for Christmas. The box was so mangled when it arrived and so were it’s contents. Two of the darts were broken, the back of the cabinet was separated and the doors were not aligned evenly so they didn’t close right. The item should have been packaged better. Were it not for it’s rough travel it was a pretty excellent looking set for the price. I returned the item to Amazon for a full refund, including shipping charges. If the return had not gone so smoothly and the price hadn’t come down by $10 I would not re-order but I will try it again. Please package properly!!!
Arrived broken and missing pieces

Arrived in its original box, not packaged well like Amazon normally does. Box had been dropped at least once causing the doors of the cabinet to come off as well as the scoreboards that should have been attached. Darts, markers and mounting materials were missing. A small disppointing and embarrassing for a gift that was given to someone. Amazon did process the return and refund quickly and easily.

I gave this as a gift and it was impressive and professional looking too. I don’t know much about darts, but my boyfriend was stoked to get it! I have to agree though, the darts don’t always stay on the board so I’m going to get some new ones and see how those hold up.

I ordered this dart board from Amazon. But, the next day, Amazon sent an email saying that my order had been cancelled – no explination, just cancelled.
Amazon — if its out of stock, no longer being produced, etc…then the ad should be taken down.
The price was too excellent to be right…oh well.

I bought this dartboard and cabinet as a gift for my brother. It arrived very quickly and appeared to be very sturdy. I haven’t played it yet, but the cabinet is very nice and would match elegant furniture or fit just fine in a game room. I don’t know much about darboards but this board appeared to be a standard board- nothing stood about it either way. Fantastic gift for yourself or someone else

The dart board and cabinet set is very well built and I reckon worth the money. It was shipped on time and came wrapped properly. There was only a small discoloration in the wood on the bottom of the cabinet door that caught my eye, but I reckon overall it was a excellent deal.

I am pleased with this buy. It looks nice, is well made and was simple to hang. The dry-erase scoreboard is exactly what I wanted. One small complaint, one of the holes for hanging the darts is too wide, so if I’m not careful, the dart goes too far into the whole and the door won’t completely shut. This isn’t something that would prevent me from buying again.

This is my first Dartboard since I was a kid and had one of those cheap $10 with the plastic darts, so I’m not to sure about one thing. The flights won’t stay on the darts. Out of every throw, there is always one flight, a different one mind you, that falls off after sticking. But that can be remedied, you can buy new darts. These are the middle of the road darts. A starter set.
The dartboard, on the other hand, is fantastic. The cabinet is very sturdy and the dartboard is high quality. I’d suggest this one if you were in the market, fantastic price. I am very pleased.
